BEKO has launched what it claims is the world’s quickest washing machine – the Xpress.

The 1,400rpm 8kg washing machine is designed to wash a 2kg load in 14 minutes and a full 8kg load in only 28 minutes, which, says Beko, makes this the world’s quickest washing machine at full load.

The Xpress, which retails for £349, offers the consumer three different washing options to suit all their laundry needs. The 14 minute and 28 minute Xpress programs are useful for washing emergencies, while the standard programs with the Quick Wash option save time, energy and water.

Standard programs are suitable for heavily soiled clothes.

For full-load washing, the 58 minute Xpress program will run an 8kg load on a full 60 degree cycle in just 58 minutes.

For even greater flexibility, the 28 minute Xpress program can tackle an 8kg load at 30 degrees in 28 minutes, while the 14 minute 2kg Super Short washing program quickly revives and freshens.

The Xpress Washing Machine has 16 main programs, including ones for duvets, sportswear and baby and toddler garments. There is also a Duo program for washing colour-fast synthetics with cottons.

Beko has also developed an Extra Rinse option for sensitive skin, spin speed and temperature adjustment and a programmable time-delay function for up to 24 hours.
